What a Florida shower glass measure visit includes

A shower glass measure takes 30 to 60 minutes, and in that time our tech collects a full portrait of the wet area rather than a single number. Width at the top, middle, and bottom, height at three points, plumb of every wall, actual corner angles, floor slope, and opening diagonals all feed the cut list.
Obstacles get documented separately. A towel bar, light switch, vanity edge, recessed niche, door casing, or return grille — anything that could block door swing or sit where a hinge needs to anchor. One wide shot plus a dozen detail photos saves an entire return visit later.
The tech also probes what is hidden. What is behind the tile — concrete, block, or framing with drywall; whether there is blocking for point hinges; how flat the curb or drain transition really is. That determines which hardware can physically be installed.
The ideal moment to measure is after tile is set and grouted and waterproofing is closed in. Measure earlier and the final dimensions shift by the thickness of mortar and tile — and tempered glass cannot be trimmed, so a panel would have to be remade.
