When a single glass door is enough and when you need a full glass perimeter — water, layout, and cost.

If the shower sits in an alcove between three walls with a centered drain, one door genuinely closes the opening. If the showerhead sprays toward the open side, you need more glass.
A single door is the leanest option: least glass, least hardware, fastest install. It works well in compact Miami bathrooms where the alcove is already tiled and a curb or pan lip holds water back. A full enclosure is the right call when the wet area is defined only by floor slope, or when the shower occupies a room corner.
